Baths
Hello! Here at Country Friends, we offer deep cleansing baths and or medicated baths for both cats and dogs. During your pet’s visit, they will receive care in our bathing room from one of our specially trained animal care assistants.
Regular or medicated, our baths include anal gland expressions, ear cleaning, and nail trims. Upon request, we also offer sani-trims (additional fee required). Long-haired pets normally require brushing out please allow for extra time for this service. Bath pricing includes a 15-minute brush, anything beyond 15 minutes will be an additional charge, especially if your pet has a heavy or matted coat. Some mats cannot be brushed out and may require some shaving which we will discuss with you.
Country Friends also offers medically necessary shave-downs. A shave-down is determined as medically necessary through an exam by one of our doctors. Please let us know if your pet could benefit from this service.
Bath Details: while in the tub, your pet will receive a message, an anal gland expression, and ear cleaning with their bath. If your pet needs to be treated for fleas, we are able to administer a treatment that will immediately begin to kill all fleas present. Pets are then towel-dried and placed in a blow-dryer kennel. Before your pet is ready to go home, they are brushed out and sprayed with a dash of yummy scent.
Pets scheduled for a medically necessary shave down will receive the same deep cleansing bath and massage, in addition, to gently shaving their coat. Typically the head and tail are left long unless otherwise requested. Please feel free to discuss with our team how you would like your pet shaved and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Sedation is available for anxious pets, and some pets require it. This said many pets do relax in the gentle and patient hands of our animal care team.
Please Note: currently, our services do not include scissors or specialty cuts.
All pet services are by appointment, Monday through Friday. On the day of your pet’s appointment, we ask that you check in between 7:30 am to 8:30 am and expect to pick them up in the afternoon around 3 pm. Due to the extra time and attention we give your pet, you can expect their spa day to last several hours, and our animal care team will let you know when your pet is ready. Please note that we are closed for lunch between 12:30 pm-2 pm.
Pets must be current on their vaccinations and free of intestinal parasites. If not, treatment is provided during the same visit, if possible.
Bath estimates are provided at check-in.
